Saint Vincent and the Grenadines requires that all prospective adoptive parents be at least 21 years old. There are currently no residency or marriage requirements for hopeful parents. However, like adoptions from any other country, the prospective adoptive parents and the child must be deemed eligible to adopt and to be adopted by the United States. In 2010, nine children were adopted from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
